Edward Lee Mason Wrenn
Edward Lee Mason Wrenn, 80, of Roanoke Rapids, passed away Monday, May 16, 2016 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh with his loving family by his side.
Mason, a native of Halifax County, was the son of the late Edward Bennett and Lossie Lee Harris Wrenn. He was also preceded in death by a son and daughter-in-law, William Bret and Bonnie P. Wrenn.
Mason was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church. He was an avid golfer and he loved so very much going to see his grandchildren in every sporting event and any other activity that they may be involved in at that time. He retired from Champion International Paper Company after 45 years of service.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Josephine “Jo” Wrenn; his two daughters, Kim W. Edwards and her husband, Ray, of Roanoke Rapids, Tracy W. Kidd and her husband, Bill, of Roanoke Rapids; his son, Mike Wrenn and his wife, Deanna, of Tampa, Florida; his faithful companion, Teddy; seven grandchildren, Shannon Bellflower and her husband, John, Michael Combs and his wife, Kathy, Lee Edwards and Samatha, Robbie Myrick and his wife, Katie, Will Myrick and his wife, Erica, Caitlin Lambert and her husband, Timmie, and Bradley Myrick; nine great-grandchildren, Sophia White, Keegan Combs, Ava Combs, Kaylee Edwards, Stella Myrick, Hudson Myrick, Kinsley Myrick, Laiten Lambert and Kaelyn Edwards.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Roanoke Rapids with Rev. Randy Martin officiating.
Interment will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 21, 2016 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Askew Funeral and Cremation Service of Roanoke Rapids.
